courage to face the dangers of the journey.

constant divine protection.

keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” – This is hope for deliverance at any hour.

having God as your protector.

shade on your right hand.” – This is
walking with God.

smite you by day, nor the moon by night.” – This is
living without fear of facing the scorching trials and the beautiful
temptations of this world.

waiting for the victory that comes from God.

life.” – This is
living without fear of death.

your going out and your coming in …” – This is
being protected in departure and in arrival.

being watched over by God, in the present and in the future.
